There’s something that truly draws me to creating films. I’ve been in the wedding industry for 17 years, many of those as a photographer. But it was only during the pandemic that I began to seriously consider filmmaking. While on a commercial shoot, I switched my camera to video — and I’m so glad I did.
Film fills a space that photography simply cannot. Someone once asked me, ‘If you had a choice, would you prefer a film of your grandparents together or a photograph?’ For me, it’s film every time. That’s not to say photography isn’t important — it absolutely is — but the sound of a voice, the subtle mannerisms of a loved one, the way someone laughs… these can’t truly be captured in a still image.

The joy I get from preserving these moments for couples, and for their families and friends, makes what I do not only worthwhile but deeply fulfilling.

Welcome, I'm Patch.

Weddings are my job—if you can call it that—but back home, I’m just Dad to my two little beauties, Elsie and Tilly. They keep me on my toes and are honestly a laugh a minute. We have the best time together.
When I’m not being a dad, you’ll probably find me at the gym, grabbing a beer with mates, heading to gigs (that pic at the bottom? That’s me at Guns N’ Roses), or noodling on my guitar like an average player. Life’s simple, and I like to keep it that way—no need to overcomplicate things!
